[origin: WO2015177399A1] The connecting element (10) for connecting a fuel injector (3) of a piston engine (1) to a fuel rail (4) comprises a connecting block (11) for receiving fuel from a fuel rail (4), and a fuel pipe (12) that is attached to the connecting block (11) for supplying fuel to a fuel injector (3), the connecting block (11) being provided with a fuel inlet (13) for receiving fuel from the fuel rail (4) and with a fuel outlet (14) that is connected to the fuel pipe (12). The fuel pipe (12) is provided with a flow fuse (15) for preventing fuel supply to a leaking fuel injector (3).
