[origin: GB2526610A] A security barrier 1 comprises a rear support element 2 having a top edge 5 and a bottom edge 4 and a bulbous barrier element 9 having a top edge and a bottom edge with a curved protruding section 41 extending at least partially between the top and bottom edges. The protruding section extends away from the plane containing the top and bottom edges. The top edge of the support element meets the top edge of the barrier element and the bottom edge of the support element meets the bottom edge of the barrier element to form a lower support region that may rest on a surface. The security barrier comprises a rail engagement arrangement 42 to engage a rail which is raised above, and parallel with, the surface and the distance between the lower support region and the rail engagement arrangement may be adjusted. In another embodiment the distance between the lower report region and the region where the top edges meet may be adjusted.
