[origin: WO2015180955A1] The invention relates to a filter (8) for fiber suspensions (5), having a shape which is rotationally symmetrical with respect to a filter axis (3) and consisting of a plurality of profiled rods (1) which are arranged in an axially parallel manner relative to one another and between which filter slots (4) are located, said rods being inserted in a clamped manner into open-edge recesses (7) of strip-shaped rod holders (2) which are curved into rings, wherein the two abutting ends of the rod holders are rigidly connected to each other. The strength of the filter (8) and the assembly is improved in that the profiled rod (1) foot (9) located in the rod holders (2) is connected to the rod holders (2) in a formfitting manner, and more than at least 40% of the radial extension of the rod foot (9) is delimited by lateral surfaces (10) which run in a parallel and radial manner.
