[origin: WO2015189500A1] The invention relates to a metal insert (10) for overmoulding a vehicle towing means (12), which insert is made from sheet metal bent such that it can receive the towing means (12) at least partially. The insert (10) comprises a number of sheet metal faces (14, 15, 16) and at least one fin (20, 21) projecting from one sheet metal face (14, 15, 16), said fin (20, 21) being arranged to absorb the pulling forces associated with a trailer.
