Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2015193275A2] The invention relates to a breech system (1) for a weapon, in particular an externally driven weapon, comprising at least one guide part (100) for the breech system (1), a breech support (2) and a breech head (3), which is supported by the breech support (2), as well as a firing pin (7) located therein, which is provided with a firing pin spring (7.1), wherein the breech support (2) serves to transport the breech head (3) and is functionally connected to a drive device (30). This breech system (1) has a tappet (4) for tensioning the firing pin spring (7.1) and is integrated onto/into the breech support (2). In order to tension the firing pin (7), the tappet (4) lowers at the end side a main lug (7.2) of the firing pin (7). A safety system (10) is integrated into said breech system (1), comprising a breech sleeve (20) which is interposed between the breech head (3) and the breech support (2). In the preferred embodiment of the invention, a chamfer (21) is provided in the rear end wall (22) of the breech sleeve (20).
