Lock (1) for doors and windows, comprising an actuation system (2) of a latch bolt (3), wherein the actuation system comprises: - a rotatable lever (4) for the translation of the latch bolt from an advanced position to a retracted position, - a first rotatable wheel (5) arranged coaxially to said rotatable lever, - coupling means (6) interposed between said first rotatable wheel and said rotatable lever and adapted to transfer a rotary motion from said first rotatable wheel to said rotatable lever, and - a member (7) coupled to said first rotatable wheel for rotating said first rotatable wheel.
