[origin: WO2015197489A1] The aim of the invention is to provide a device for producing flat products, in particular flat products made of tissue and/or tissue-like materials, with which optically well-contoured embossing patterns can be achieved. This is achieved by a device comprising a first embossing roller, which comprises at least one first and one second embossing elevation. The first embossing elevation has a height h1, and the second embossing elevation has a height h2, h1 and h2 being different. The device further comprises a second embossing roller, which comprises at least one third and one fourth embossing elevation. The third embossing elevation has a height h3, and the fourth embossing elevation has a height h4, h3 and h4 being different. The first and second embossing rollers are paired with each other such that the first embossing elevation is paired with the fourth embossing elevation and the second embossing elevation is paired with the third embossing elevation at least in sub-regions of the embossing rollers.
