Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2015197153A1] In order to renovate a track, a number of old track sections (13) are taken up by a crane boom, which projects over the track (15) from one end (22) of the work train (1), and are set down on the work train (1), a renovation gap (26) bounded by a start (24) and an end (25) being formed in the process. New ballast (19) is introduced into the end (25) of the renovation gap (26) with the aid of the crane boom (9). A new track section (13) previously mounted on the work train (1) is then set down on the levelled ballast at the end (25) of the gap by the crane boom (9).
