[origin: WO2016001502A1] The orchestration device (13) includes: - a module (13A) for receiving, from a device (15) for managing a digital content delivery service, a request (REQ") to assign content delivery resources, and a characteristic representing a service level assigned to a content provider for content delivery; - a verification module (13B) capable of verifying if resources enabling delivery of content in accordance with said service level characteristic are available among a predetermined resource set containing physical resources, already deployed from a physical content delivery network, and virtual resources, already instantiated for the provider; and - an allocation module (13C), activated if it is detected that the available resources are insufficient and capable of requesting allocation of new physical resources in the physical content delivery network and/or capable of instantiating new virtual resources for content delivery.
