Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2016001739A1] An adjustable louvers folding and rotation mechanism able to protect an area underneath the covering from sun's rays, rain or other atmospheric agents. The device comprises a plurality of louvers for covering an area underneath, which louvers are engaged by a plurality of rods (3), which are constrained in turn so as to make a pair of pantograph (8) mechanisms, the latter constrained to guiding section bars (1) by means of carriages (6). The device is characterized in that the guide section bars comprise a partially open longitudinal groove (1b) shaped so as to contain an involute worm (2), the axis of which is parallel to the longitudinal direction of development of said guiding section bar (1) and a longitudinal groove (1a) able to retain and allow the sliding of said carriages (6). The device is further characterized in that the ends (4a, 4b) of said louvers are constrained to an end of a pin (4), which constrains a pair of rods (3) at the middle line (3c), and is provided with a toothed wheel (5), which is adapted to mesh with the involute worm (2) when said pantograph (8) is in the fully extended configuration thus determining the rotation of the louvers.
