[origin: WO2017081025A1] The invention relates to a grate bar (10) comprising a substantially closed surface (18) facing a combustion side, a grate bar rest (14) designed for resting on a grate cover shaft (16), a head part (12) and a plurality of cooling ribs (28) for air cooling, which protrude from the underside of the surface (18). The head part (12) comprises at least one flow channel (30) which is divided downstream into at least one first and second sub-flow channel (32, 34). The first sub-flow channel (32) leads to at least one first outlet opening (36) on the end side (20) of the head part (12), and the second sub-flow channel (34) leads to at least one second outlet opening, at a distance from the end side (20), which is open to the the underside of the surface (18).
