[origin: WO2016008968A2] The invention relates to a treatment device (7) and a treatment method for a dry or wet web (2) of a textile fibrous material. In a drying chamber (13, 13') the moving web (2) is guided in a meander (18) and treated with a gas stream (16), wherein the gas stream (16) is applied to one side of the web (2) and directed through said web (2). In one meander portion (30) the web (2) is suspended on the underside of a conveying means (23, 25) and is pressed against said means and held there by an upwardly directed gas flow (16).
