[origin: EP3170716A1] Provided is a railway vehicle equipped with a truck capable of being reduced in a size and a weight. A traction device (20) for connecting a railway vehicle to a truck includes a link shaft (21) disposed in a truck frame, a pair of link shaft arms (22) disposed at both ends of the link shaft (21), and two draw shafts (23) each connected to each of the link shaft arms (22). An upper end of one of the link shaft arms (22) is connected to the link shaft (21), and a lower end of the other of the link shaft arms (22) is connected to the link shaft (21) . Each of the draw arms (23) connects each of the link shaft arms (22) to a lower surface of a vehicle body. When the truck passes through a curve, the link shaft arms (22) turns in a vertical plane. Therefore, the truck turns in a horizontal plane around a virtual vertical axis at a central portion of the link shaft in a longitudinal direction thereof.
