Abstract (en)

Beverage dispensing unit 1 comprising a dispensing line 2 having a first end 3 for connection with a beverage container and a second end 4 for connection with a dispensing valve 5. The dispensing valve has an outer face 6 and an outer diameter OD and comprises a valve housing 7 having an inner face 8 and a longitudinal extension L, the valve housing providing a valve chamber 11 and having a radial inlet 12 in relation to the longitudinal extension and an outlet 13 arranged in the longitudinal extension, a valve piston 14 movable in the longitudinal extension in the valve chamber and being configured to open and close the outlet by moving the valve piston between a first open position and a second closed position of the dispensing valve, the valve piston having a first end 15 and a second end 16 and a body 17 extending therebetween, the first end 15 of the valve piston being connectable with an actuating element for moving the valve piston between the first and the second position, wherein the first chamber diameter CD1 is larger than the piston diameter in order to provide a flow passage 19 between the outer piston face 18 and the inner face of the valve housing in the first position of the valve piston.
