[origin: WO2016016220A1] The invention relates to a sports dumbbell comprising a grip section (2) which runs along the grip shaft (L1), and a support shaft (L2) of a support section (3) spaced apart from the grip section (2) perpendicularly to grip shaft (L1) and running parallel to grip shaft (L1). The support section is connected at at least one end to the grip section (2), immoveable relative thereto, and to a center of gravity (S) which is arranged within the support section (3), characterized in that a distance (d2) between the grip shaft (L1) and the support shaft (L2) is at least 11 cm and the sports dumbbell forms a closed annular body or open annular body in the external form thereof.
