[origin: WO2016020275A1] The invention relates to a device (1) in particular for irradiating a suspension on workpieces (19), wherein the device (1) comprises: at least one pressure vessel (2) for the suspension; at least one feed line (3) for the suspension connected to the pressure vessel (2), the feed line is connected or can be connected to a radiation device (4); at least one valve (7) which is switched between the pressure vessel (2) and the radiation device (4); at least one prechamber (10) which is connected to the pressure vessel (2) by means of a valve (11'); at least one return line (12) for the suspension, which return line is connected to the prechamber (10); and a line (25) and a valve (26), by means of which the prechamber (10) can be connected to a compressed air source or by means of which the prechamber (10) is connected to a compressed air source. In order to advantageously refine a generic device of this type, it is proposed that the valve (11') between the prechamber (10) and the pressure vessel (2) is a check valve (11) which is connected at its one, in particularly upper, connection (59) at a pressure vessel connection, which discharges into the pressure vessel (2) through the bottom (61) of the pressure vessel (2), in particular at the lowest point thereof, and which is connected at its other connection (62) to the prechamber (10), wherein the flow direction of the check valve (11) is directed toward the pressure vessel (2).
