Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2016020302A1] The invention relates to a current collector device for vehicles operated by overhead-contact systems, said device comprising an arm (14) having a current collector head (15), one end of which arm can be pivotally arranged on a roof section (10) of a vehicle operated by overhead contact and the other end of which is designed to interact with a contact wire in order to pick up electrical current, with which arm elevation means (44, 32) for controlled raising and lowering are associated. The elevation means have electromotive raising means (32, 38) for the raising and lowering operation by means of at least one path section of the arm between a rest position and a contact position, in addition to pneumatic or hydraulic means (44) designed to apply a contact force of the current collector head on the contact wire in the contact position.
