[origin: GB2520797A] An apparatus 10 for football training comprises a circular wall 100 having an inward facing surface 110 to provide rebound for a football 50. Multiple target indications 200 are provided at angular locations around the circular wall. The apparatus further includes a control system 210, for activating a series of the target indications, and a monitoring system 220 for determining an angular location of an impact between the football and the inward facing surface. The apparatus is configured to compare the angular location of the impact with the angular location of the target. The circular wall may further be disassembled, comprise a ceiling and have a radius between 3 and 8 meters. The target indications may comprise lights of different colours that can be activated individually or simultaneously to provide either, extended targets or multiple targets. Adjacent lights may also be activated in turn to provide moving targets. Targets are controlled by the control system and may be activated by an audio output from a speaker system. The monitoring system may only detect impact between the ball and the inward facing surface, or it may continuously track the ball.
