The present disclosure relates to a method for transmitting and receiving data comprising the following steps of: transmitting a source data segment included in the source data and a parity data segment including restoration information on the source data to a receiving apparatus; receiving a control signal obtained based on at least one data segment of the source data segment and the parity data segment from the receiving apparatus; and whether to transmit additional data segment used in obtaining the source data based on the received control signal. The present disclosure can be utilized for an intelligence service (a smart home, a smart building, a mart city, a smart car or a connected car, a health care, a digital education, a retail service, and a security and safety related service and so on) based on the technology.
