The face-plate rail comprises an accommodating segment having an interior, in which the locking bar including the locking element is arranged, and comprising at least one insertion opening leading into the interior. According to the invention, the locking element arranged in the interior unblocks the insertion opening when the locking bar is in the release position and the locking element arranged in the interior at least partially blocks the insertion opening when the locking bar is in the locking position. The device can also be designed as a window, door, or the like, wherein the accommodating segment having the interior is provided in the main frame or sash/leaf frame.
