[origin: WO2016034310A1] The invention relates to a door drive (20) for driving a door leaf (14) of a building door in order to allow a building door to be conveniently actuated both manually and automatically using little energy. Said door drive comprises: a motor drive assembly (24), which has an electric motor (34) and a transmission for coupling the electric motor (34) to the door leaf (14), and a motor control unit (36), which, in a self-locking mode (39), is designed to actuate the electric motor (34) during the standstill thereof such that the electric motor counteracts a movement force introduced from the door leaf (14) to the electric motor (34) via the transmission by an increased resistance, further comprising: a self-locking mode switching device (40) by means of which a user can freely activate or deactivate the self-locking mode (39).
