[origin: EP3190208A1] Aqueous electroless nickel plating baths comprising at least one source of nickel ions are characterised in that they comprise aminopropanenitrile and/or at least one aminopropanenitrile derivative thereof. Such aqueous electroless nickel plating baths are useful for the deposition of nickel and nickel alloy. The deposited nickel or nickel alloy layers are advantageously corrosion resistant due to their high compressive stress. Also, the aqueous electroless nickel plating bath comprising said compounds are very stable and show improved resistance to plate-out.
