[origin: WO2016039692A1] Methods and systems for conducting cash-on-delivery (COD) transactions. An exemplary method for conducting a COD transaction, assigned a unique identifier by a server, comprises: receiving the unique identifier during delivery; generating a transaction payment confirmation request upon receipt of the unique identifier; transmitting the transaction payment confirmation request, using an open connection message session, to a client for transaction payment confirmation; receiving, from the client, a response to the transaction payment confirmation request during the open connection message session; and processing the COD transaction based on the response of the client to the transaction payment confirmation request.
