Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2016041834A1] The invention relates to an automatic Willison/SA-3-type central buffer coupling (1) for rail vehicles with a coupling element (2) which has two coupling claws (3, 4) and a coupling socket (5) between the claws on the end face. At least one latch system (6) is provided which engages into the region of the coupling socket. A connection element is also provided with a receiving area (10) for attaching the central buffer coupling to a coupling shaft (7) provided on the rail vehicle. According to the invention, the coupling element (2) tapers into the region for securing to the coupling shaft and can be fixed by a shell-type sleeve (9) which surrounds both the coupling element (2) as well as the coupling shaft (7).
