Abstract (en)
[origin: GB2530090A] A pack has a hinged lid 3 which can slide and pivot to open the pack, and raises the contents, e.g. a wrapped bundle of cigarettes 16. A lifting member 17, extending from the lid 3, can lift the cigarettes as the lid 3 is pulled upwards, away from the pack base. The lid 3 can then be opened by pivoting about hinge 22. There may be a void 20 between the top of the contents 16 and the top of the lid 3, e.g as the cigarettes in the wrapped bundle 16 are shorter than the pack length. The pack may have an inner frame 18 which can provide stops to limit movement of the lifting member 17. Opening of the lid 3 may take place only after the lid 3 has been lifted. Tobacco industry products may be enclosed in a wrapper attached to the lifting member 17. The pack base, lid 3, lifting member 17 and inner frame 18 may be formed from blanks.
