[origin: GB2530291A] A tent comprising: a ground sheet (220); a canopy sheet (130, fig 1) adapted to extend over at least part of the ground sheet to form at least a partially enclosed internal space when the tent is assembled; and at least one pair of pocket elements 350 each attached either to the ground sheet or the canopy sheet, each pocket element comprising a pocket in which an end of a pole 210 may be received, wherein, the pocket elements are secured in spaced apart locations which, when the tent is assembled, are within the enclosed internal space. The pocket elements may be cone shaped, and may be sized to receive two or more pole ends 210. Also claimed is a tension strap 360 for a tent, secured to a ground sheet or canopy sheet, with first and second ends shaped to form pockets in which ends of a pole may be received. The tent has the advantage of being lightweight.
