[origin: WO2016058901A1] The invention relates to a surface cleaning machine comprising at least one cleaning roller (18), a drive device (76) for rotationally driving the at least one cleaning roller (18), a damping device (116) for applying a cleaning liquid to the at least one cleaning roller (18), and a suction unit mechanism (32) for producing a suction flow, fluidically connected to at least one suction channel (44) and at least one suction outlet (54) which is associated with the at least one cleaning roller (18). The damping device (116) comprises at least one one pressure-controlled switch (118) which, in an open position, releases a fluid path (146) for cleaning liquid to the at least one cleaning roller (18), and, in a closed position, blocks the fluid path (146). The at least one pressure-controlled switch (118) is pressure-coupled to the at least one suction channel (44). The at least one pressure-controlled switch (118) moves to the open position and/or maintains the open position when negative pressure is applied by a suction flow in the at least one suction channel (44).
