[origin: EP3208549A1] When thermo-OFF is performed during heating operation, the operation time period of immediate preceding thermo-ON operation is confirmed. When the operation time period is not more than a specified time period, the number of operations of thermo-ON is counted. Every time thermo-ON and thermo-OFF are repeated, the number of operations of thermo-ON is counted. When the count of the number of operations reaches a predetermined number of times, defrosting operation is forcibly performed. When thermo-OFF and the thermo-ON are repeated in a short cycle, defrosting of an outdoor heat exchanger can be performed. As described above, by forcibly performing defrosting operation upon coming into a situation in which thermo-OFF and thermo-ON are repeated in a short cycle, it is made possible to eliminate an adverse effect that defrosting of the outdoor heat exchanger cannot be performed in such a situation.
