Abstract (en)
The present technology relates to a reception device, a reception method on the reception device, and a program, capable of enhancing accuracy in error correction processing using repetition processing by achieving consistency between a main signal and a feedback signal in units of code-words. A Viterbi decoding unit decodes a demodulated signal. An observation unit observes a known signal included in a Viterbi-decoded signal and outputs compensation information for compensation of a phase shift and spectrum inversion. A first signal compensation unit compensates for the phase shift and spectrum inversion on the basis of the known signal included in the Viterbi-decoded signal, and an RS decoding unit performs RS decoding. A second signal compensation unit compensates for the phase shift and spectrum inversion of the demodulated signal in a pre-stage of performing Viterbi decoding on the basis of the compensation information from the observation unit. Subsequently, the Viterbi decoding unit performs Viterbi decoding on the demodulated signal using a signal for which RS decoding was successful. The present technology is applicable to the reception device of satellite broadcasting.
