[origin: WO2016066922A1] The invention relates to a percussion apparatus (2) which includes a striking piston (5), a control valve (11) arranged to control an alternating movement of the striking piston (5), and an operating device (15) arranged suo as to vary the striking travel of the striking piston (5). The operating device (15) comprises a plurality of operating channels (18a-18c), a control channel (19) connected to the control valve (11), an operating slide (16) mounted movable between a plurality of operating positions, and an adjustment slide (34) mounted in a receiving recess defined by the operating slide, the operating slide (16) and the adjustment slide (34) defining a first adjustment chamber connected to the control channel (19) and a second adjustment chamber connected to a circuit for supplying a high-pressure fluid (12). The adjustment slide (34) is movably mounted between a first position in which the first operating chamber and the second adjustment chamber are connected and a second position in which the first operating chamber and the second adjustment chamber are isolated.
