[origin: WO2016067272A1] The present invention relates to a method and cutting device for clearing underwater support piles with a filling material, comprising the steps of: (i) the predominantly transverse cutting of one or more underwater support piles, thereby obtaining an open cross-section, (ii) providing a cutting device with a cutting plane opposite to said open cross-section, wherein said cutting plane is provided with one or more water jet cutting elements, and (iN) the water jet cutting of said filling material, wherein said water jet cutting elements are shifted within said cutting plane during the water jet cutting.
