[origin: WO2016071387A1] The invention relates to a method for treating a release layer, comprising the following steps: a substrate comprising a release layer is placed between at least one charge electrode and a counter electrode; and said release layer is exposed to charges by applying a direct-current voltage between the at least one charge electrode and the counter electrode, said at least one charge electrode being surrounded by an ionizable ambient gas. The invention also relates to substrates comprising a release layer, which can be obtained according to the claimed method and to an adhesive tape comprising said type of substrate with a release layer and at least one adhesive mass.
