[origin: WO2016071256A1] The invention relates to a method for plasma treating a release layer, comprising the following steps: (i) introducing a plasma gas into a discharge chamber; (ii) exciting the plasma gas to a plasma state by discharge; and (iii) exposing the release layer to the plasma gas in a plasma state, said exciting of the plasma gas in a plasma state taking place by means of a electric high voltage having a frequency of between 2000 - 100.000 Hz and the high voltage being pulsed at a switching frequency of between 30 - 5000 Hz. The invention also relates to release layers which can be obtained according to said method, and to release liners comprising a support and the release layer. The invention also relates to adhesive strips comprising the thus described release liner and to an adhesive mass.
