[origin: WO2016071617A2] The present invention relates to a method for demineralization of sugar solution A using sugar solution D, having the following steps; i) optionally, a step comprising electodialysis of sugar solution A and/or D by means of an electrodialyzer, in order to obtain sugar solution B; ii) at least one first capacitive deionization step of sugar solution A or B by means of a capacitive deionization device, so as to obtain a sugar juice C. Advantageously, sugar solution D comes from the ion discharge from the capacitive deionization device in step ii) and is subject to a capacitive deionization step, in particular step ii), and/or an electrodialysis step, in particular step i). The present invention also relates to a method for production of sugar syrup using said demineralization method applied to sugar solution A.
