[origin: WO2016074901A1] The invention relates to a tool holder, comprising: a main part (12) for coupling to a drive spindle which can be rotatingly driven, on which main part a chuck (18) for clamping a tool is received; and a damping element (42) between the main part (12) and the chuck (18), said damping element (42) consisting of a material with a modulus of elasticity which differs from the modulus of elasticity of the material of the chuck (18) by at least 50%, and the chuck (18) being connected, preferably bonded, to the main part (12) only via the damping element (42).
