[origin: WO2016079242A1] The invention relates to a hand-actuatable plier tool (1), in particular for processing cables, comprising: a. a plier head (5) for treating or processing an object, in particular a cable; b. two plier grips (2, 3) that can swivel in relation to one another between an open position and a closed position; c. an electronic counter (7) with which the number of treatment or processing processes can be counted and/or stored; d. wherein the counter (7) has an electronic circuit (11) and a signalling means (8, 9, 12) that is electrically connected to the electronic circuit (11); wherein e. the counter (7) is secured in a first of the plier grips (2, 3); f. wherein, in the closed position of the plier grips (2, 3), the second of the plier grips (2, 3) cooperates with the signalling means (8, 9, 12) of the counter (7) in such a way that a count signal is emitted by the signalling means (8, 9, 12) to the electronic circuit (11).
