[origin: WO2016079427A2] The invention relates to an electric machine (10) and, for example, an electric motor with reluctance varied by permanent magnets, for use in a motor vehicle, in particular for an electric supercharger for a motor vehicle, comprising a rotor (12) and a stator (14) provided with radial teeth (16; 18), at least one of the rotor (12) and stator (14) having a cross-section which can be divided into angular segments (S1-S4) having the same angle at the centre and including a single radial tooth (161-164), at least one of the angular segments (S1-S4) being different from at least one of the other angular segments (S1-S4). The invention also relates to an electric supercharger for a motor vehicle, comprising a compression wheel and an electric machine(10) for rotating the compression wheel.
