[origin: WO2016083023A1] The invention relates to a device (1) for the strip casting of metal products (2, 3), comprising at least one belt running apparatus (5), onto a circulating belt (6) of which a metal melt (17) can be applied, and comprising two lateral bounding apparatuses (11, 12), wherein the belt running apparatus (5) and the two lateral bounding apparatuses (11, 12) form a solidification space (22) for the metal melt (17), which solidifies therein, and wherein each of the two lateral bounding apparatuses (11, 12) comprises a plurality of wall elements (20) that interact with each other, each wall element having a wall side (24, 24A) that faces the solidification space (22), wherein a wall part (25) composed of copper or an alloy thereof and comprising a surface (30) that interacts with the metal melt (17) is arranged on this one wall side (24, 24A) facing the solidification space (22), and wherein said surface (30) that interacts with the metal melt (17) is modified at least in some regions.
