Abstract (en)

Inkjet printer (10) for reproducing images, writing and/or designs on a printable surface of a substrate (12), comprising: - a base (20) provided with first motor means (22) for moving a support device (24) for the substrate (12) on guiding means (27) arranged along a sliding axis (X); - a printing unit (30) connected to the base (20) and comprising a casing (70) inside which an inkjet printing head (32) and driving means (36) are housed; the printing head (32) being slidably movable by means of the driving means (36) on guiding means (34) extending inside the casing (70) and arranged along a printing axis (Y) transverse to the sliding axis (X); - a programmable control unit (40) operatively connected to the first motor means (22) and to the driving means (36) for the coordinated movement of the support device (24) and the printing head (32). In accordance with the invention, the casing (70) of the printing unit (30) is provided with releasable connection means (50) by means of which the printing unit (30) is releasably connected to the base (20).
