A device according to the invention (200, 300) for synthesising and studying compounds under controlled temperatures and pressures includes: a body (201, 301) that defines a vacuum chamber (202, 302) including means for adjusting the temperature (206, 306, 208, 308) and for applying a vacuum (210, 310), and having one or more viewing windows (205, 305, 216) allowing the inside of the chamber to be observed from the outside, means for adjusting the temperature (206, 306, 208, 308) that are intended for adjusting the temperature inside the vacuum chamber (202, 302), and means for applying a vacuum (210, 310) that are intended for adjusting the pressure in the vacuum chamber (202, 302), and characterised in that said device comprises, inside the vacuum chamber (202, 302), a sealed structure (10, 10') that defines a sealed chamber (13, 13') having at least one viewing window (16, 16', 19) facing said at least one window (205, 305, 216) of said body, and at least one pipe (213, 213') that is in fluid communication at one end with the inside of said sealed chamber (13, 13') and at the other end with an outlet (212, 312) that is made in the body (201, 301) and is provided in order to be connected to one or more sources of gas for synthesising said compound or sample.
