[origin: US2017292231A1] The disclosure relates to a road paver with a height-adjustable screed for installing a pavement layer and at least one support device for carrying and positioning at least one sensor unit. The support device comprises a center bar, at least one extension bar for the center bar, and at least one attachment unit which detachably attaches the extension bar at one end of the center bar. The center bar and the extension bar are by way of the attachment unit relative to one another—when viewed in the vertical projection plane—at a first mounting angle connectable to one another, and the center bar and the extension bar are by way of the attachment unit connectable to one another—when viewed in the vertical projection plane—at at least one further mounting angle.
