[origin: WO2016090400A1] The invention relates to a protective helmet (2), in particular a firefighting helmet, having a helmet shell (4) and coupling arrangements (6) which are arranged on either side of the helmet shell, in a temple region (5) in each case, and have first coupling elements (7) for coupling in a releasable manner in each case to an accessory (3). The first coupling elements (7) are retained on the helmet shell (4), via retaining means (9) of a connecting device (20), in a plurality of different positions one behind the other along a longitudinal axis (10) of an adjustment path. Each of the first coupling elements (7) have arranged on them a first coupling mechanism (11), which is arranged in a first laterally offset position in relation to the retaining means (9), which is arranged along the longitudinal axis (10) of the adjustment path. The invention also relates to safety equipment (1) comprising such a protective helmet (2) and at least one accessory (3) coupled thereto.
