The method comprises the following steps: (a) a first part (10) in the form of a shell having a first face (11) and a second face (12) on the opposite side from the first face (11) is provided, and a second part (20) in the form of a shell having a first face (21) and a second face (22) on the opposite side from the first face (21) is provided; (c) a border (19) is created on the first part (10) with the aid of a piece of cutting equipment (70), the edge (191) of said border (19) having a sharp edge at the first face (11), and a border (29) is created on the second part (20) with the aid of this piece of cutting equipment (70), the edge (291) of said border (29) having a sharp edge at the first face (21), the edge (291) of the second part (20) and the edge (191) of the first part (10) being cut such that these edges (191, 291) are able to match one another along their entire length when the first part (10) and the second part (20) are joined together; (d) the first part (10) and the second part (20) are joined together.
