[origin: KR20160069456A] The present invention relates to a terminal device and a data processing method for the same, which can provide analysis and search on a per-conversation basis by classifying chat messages which have been sent and received in the past on a per-conversation basis. The terminal device comprises: a communication interface unit which performs communication with an external device when chatting starts; a display unit which displays chat messages transmitted and received via the communication interface unit; a storage unit; and a control unit which classifies the chat messages into a plurality of conversation sessions, and stores keywords defining the respective conversation sessions in the storage. The control unit provides a conversation session matching at least one keyword via the display unit when an event related to the at least one keyword among the keywords stored in the storage occurs.
