Abstract (en)
[origin: EP3231878A1] A bottom blowing plug to be attached to a large combined blowing converter and having a high durability. This plug has a plurality of through holes at a central portion of an upper surface of a plug body which intersects with a gas blow-in direction. When S u cm 2 is area of the upper surface and S o cm 2 is area of an opening group portion surrounded by centers of openings of outermost ones of the through holes, S o /S u ‰¤ 0.25 and S u ‰¥ 400 cm 2 . Density of the openings constituting the group of openings, which is expressed by the number of openings divided by the area S o of the opening group portion, is 0.6 to 3.9 opening/cm 2 .
