A procedure for the INTERRUPTING of the feed of a roving (12) when breakage of a filament (11) occurs during the process of spinning core yarn, comprising the stage of separating the roving (12) feed rollers (6a, 6b) by strictly mechanical means (2) to grasp the roving (12) and to halt its feed when a breakage of the filament (11) occurs.
