[origin: WO2016096742A1] The invention relates to a system (1) for transferring and transporting metal strips wound into coils (4), in particular produced from hot strip, comprising at least one transfer means, preferably a coil delivery carriage (3), for receiving a coil (4) from a coiler mandrel (5) and for handover of a coil (4) to a loading means, preferably a mandrel carriage (13), and a transport means, preferably a rail-bound coil transport carriage (11) for transporting away the coil (4) placed on the loading means, characterised in that the at least one transfer means (10) is arranged and supported in a suspended manner above the plane of the loading means and the transport means is arranged and supported within the system. The invention further relates to a method for transferring and transporting metal strips to be wound into coils and a method for retrofitting such a system.
