[origin: WO2016096251A1] A protection device having a flexible textile fabric, which is is held between an extended protection position and a compact, stored rest position on a roller blind shaft and can be wound and unwound, wherein the textile fabric is connected on the front end region thereof in the extending direction to a dimensionally stable extension profile which is guided on the opposite side thereof in a longitudinally displaceable manner on a guide structure, arranged affixed to the vehicle in the operationally ready state, and having at least one support structure for rotatable mounting of the roller blind shaft, wherein the lateral guide structures are connected to the support structure and are arranged in a pivoting manner on the support structure for an assembly position, is known. According to the invention, retaining elements for removable fastening of the guide structures in the assembly position thereof, pivoted toward the support structure, are provided on the support structure. The invention further relates to a use for shading a rear window of a passenger vehicle.
