[origin: WO2016097931A1] The invention relates to a transporting device (T) for empty or wound tubes (H) of a spinning machine (1), in particular a ring spinning machine, having at least one endless conveyor (4) that runs around one or more groups of spinning stations (2) of the spinning machine and is connected to a drive (M1, M2). In particular in spinning machines having very large spindle numbers, existing transporting devices for transporting the tubes and packages reach their limits with regard to elongation and slip. Therefore, in order to remedy these drawbacks, it is proposed that the transporting device (T) - as seen in the longitudinal direction of the spinning machine (1) - has at least two subsections (T1, T2) that each have an endless conveyor (4a, 4b) and are arranged in succession, and a transfer device (14) for transferring empty or full tubes (H, S) between the mutually directly opposite ends (E1, E2) of the subsections (T1, T2) is provided between the subsections (T1, T2).
