Die Erfindung betrifft eine Paraffiniereinrichtung (19) für eine Kreuzspulen herstellende Textilmaschine (1), mit einem in einem Lagergehäuse (30) axial verschiebbar gelagerten Paraffinkörper (23), der während des Spulprozesses mittels eines definiert ansteuerbaren Antriebes (34) im Bereich einer Paraffinierebene (PE) der Paraffiniereinrichtung (19) positionierbar ist, in der die Vorderfront (46) des Paraffinkörpers (23) an einem laufenden Faden (16) anliegt. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass die Paraffiniereinrichtung (19) über eine an einen Arbeitsstellenrechner (28) angeschlossene Sensoreinrichtung (40) bzw. über ein Sensorsystem (50) verfügt, die/das überwacht, ob die Vorderfront (46) des Paraffinkörpers (23) im Bereich der Paraffinierebene (PE) der Paraffiniereinrichtung (19) positioniert ist und der Arbeitsstellenrechner (28) so ausgebildet ist, dass er, wenn dies nicht der Fall ist, korrigierend in die Vorschubgeschwindigkeit des Antriebes (34) eingreift.
